To quote Langston Hughes, "What happens to a dream deferred?"
I'm starting to think that every day you defer it, you kill it a little. Eventually, a dream deferred just dies slowly and at your own hands.
Posted by LoWriter at October 3, 2007 10:46 PMnow that is a significantly depressing thought... but it's significant to think about nonetheless. it plays directly into regrets - do you regret the death of that dream, or do you mourn it and live on?
Posted by: dr gonzo at October 4, 2007 10:34 AMGood call, Lo! Yeah, I'd have to agree. The more time we spend on stuff we "have" to do or "must" do, the less time we have to follow our dreams, unless, of course, what me have to and must do are following our dream. You aphoristic little post makes me think...
