Posted by: Lo at May 1, 2006 06:30 PMI've just raped your blog. For more on how annoying it is to have "old friends" drop in to your cyberspace and pretend to still know you, see http://www.xanga.com/em_the_gem/478021579/old-friends.html
I risk the invasion to give a shout-out to Firefly! That show ROCKS!!! When did you discover it? I don't like the last few episodes, but I guess that's just because I knew they were the last and, well, expected something more.
So, um, if I wasn't a lazy butt and actually read your blog, I'd know what you were up to. Maybe I'll start. Perhaps I'll not drop in so unexpectedly next time.
But, DUDE! I like Firefly. And chips and salsa. And butter rum life savers. But not the last three together. ick.
Posted by: Laura-the-ex-roommate at May 1, 2006 10:31 PMI discovered firefly a couple years ago through two of my very good friends from work. I watched one episode with them and bought the DVD set immmediately. Now I watch it over and over again since everything else sucks a lot. It does totally rock the free world.
And I can't believe you don't like the last few episodes!!! One of my favorites is the very last one when River says, "I can win this" and the ball for jacks looks like a planet. It's a very cool precursor to the movie. I hope they bring it back, though I doubt they will. I seriously love every single episode with the possible exception of "Our Mrs. Reynolds," which is still funny, just not as deep.
As to what I've been up to, well, yeah, pretty much read my blog and you'll have it. I've been really busy with working an insane amount and holding down two/three-ish jobs. So really, that's about all I do these days it seems. I'm passing up almost everything fun just to get a little more sleep in my life.

My brother discovered this (I take full credit) and finally watched the whole season this last weekend, he loved it!
I would respond, but honestly I just don't have time to write it all at work these days. I'll try a little later!
"10% of nothin' is, well, let's see. Nothin' and nothin' is nothin'.... carry the nothin'."
Also, I enjoy "No, actually, what I was going to say was WHAT IS SHE DOING ON THIS SHIP?"
And "I believe that woman's planning to shoot me again."

Beautiful!!!
We watched the full season in less than a month last fall. I need to go watch it again. :)
And, I didn't DISLIKE the last few persay, I just expected more of a finale, less of a fizzle. I can't remember what exactly I disliked, I just was... well... disappointed. Will have to review to give you a better critique.
