I Was Feeling Better...

If you can see this, then I'm not hiding from you. ;)

I'm sure you all know this, but I am back at work. (Where people, apparently, are so interested in me that they want to read about me on the Internet.) I was tired but doing well. I have now caught the cold of doom. I feel very awful.

On the whole, the surgery went well, and I am healing nicely. Just don't hug me on the right side, kids.

That's about all I can do for an update, kids. Give a shout out about how you're doing.

Update

Well, it's been a week since the big operation, and I'm doing all right.

As Ben let you all know, the operation itself went pretty well. And Ben and my mom took good care of me that weekend, and Ben has been taking good care of me since. (Thank you, sweetie.)

I am off the pain meds, which was a wise decision since they were making me sick and more forgetful than usual. Also, I was convinced they were not affecting me at all, which was entertaining to watch, I'm sure.

I am doing ok. I am still very sleepy and not able to do much except laze around, but that is ok since I am out until the 22nd for sure. I seem to not be on a real schedule right now. I sleep 12 hours, get up for 4, sleep for a couple, and get up for a couple and repeat. So, basically, I have no bed time. It's weird.

I'm getting better every day. The pain is getting better, and overall, I am starting to feel better. I might even try to leave the house tomorrow for a walk around the parking lot with my honey! :) We know how to have a good time.

Otherwise, thank you for the kind thoughts, well wishes, cards, flowers, prayers, and blog comments. Everything has helped a lot. It's nice to be cared about.

I hope you are all doing well, too!

T Minus 12 Hours and Counting

Well, folks, tomorrow at 10 AM, I will be having surgery to have my gall baldder removed. I'm nervous. I'm anxious. I'm about to go bathe with special soap.

Suffice it to say that I am not stoked.

On the other hand, it will be good to feel good again. It will be nice to be able to lie on my right side. It will be nice to have Ben's arm around me.

So, anyway, don't email me at my work while I'm out. I'm going to do my best not to check my work email.

It's out-patient surgery, and Ben is taking me to the hospital. My mom is coming when he leaves for work, so she will be taking care of me this weekend. So, no worries. I just wanted to whine about how I'm nervous and uncomfortable.

The Cutest Un-Political Ad Ever

While I was watching network TV this evening, the best ad on TV came on. It's labeled "Political Ad Break," and it's from WCCO.

So, for all of you who need a break from the hype (or lack thereof), you should totally check out this.

Watch out, though, ladies. Your biological clock may just chime. In a good way. I know mine did.

Enjoy!
